Chris Lee, the tour guide was very engaging with excellent knowledge of history, great humor and very attentive to peoples needs.
I absolutely loved this bus trip .To begin the bus drivers are so pleasant and extremely friendly. My wife and I loved the amity hop on and hop of all day.The price of the tickets is more than worth it. I highly recommend Big Bus for the best way to see our beautiful capital.
Had a great time, and the Big Bus helped a lot!
This is the best way to see DC. It stops at all the highlights and you can walk to others from the stops and then get back on to the next. Lots of great information.
loved it, I would recommend the night tour, bus 144 . the tour guide was engaging and funny
Great experience,will do it again.
This is the easiest way to get around to the top attractions in the city.
great way to get your bearings in DC and nightime DC bus is amazing .
I checked all the reviews for all the Hop-on/Hop-offs and Big Bus had no bad reviews whatsoever. Buses were clean, very informative guides, handed out free ponchos and ear buds. They ran on time, about every 20-30 mins. They have 3 loops that take you absolutely everywhere. We purchased the 2 day deluxe ticket which included Madame Truseau's and a night tour. Would highly recommend Big Bus.
The Big Bus tour in DC was wonderful. It allowed us to see so much in the two days we were there. We loved the night tour. The monuments were so beautiful all lit up. We would have never been able to see all the monuments, Arlington Cemetery, Georgetown, The Wax Museum, the Botanical Gardens, all some of the museums if it weren't for the Big Bus. They ran on time and frequently. We would not hesitate to use them again on our next trip to DC.
Great tour! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Worth every penny!
great day out. very interesting. period tour of house excellent.
Great - on and off whenever your wanted. Saw all the sights and could keep going back. The night tour was amazing.
Everything about Big Bus was smooth sailing. Booking online was quick and easy. No paper was required on site. I presented the confirmation on my cell phone to the driver and hoped right on. I didn't have to look for the bus, there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel Liaison. We didn't have to look hard for breakfast, the bus stoped at Lincoln Waffles excellent food, service, and prices... so worth the wait. The Big Bus staff at the counter next to Madame Tussaud's were extremely friendly and helpful young men. My two teenagers and I were very thankful for the complimentary poncho's and earbuds. We even rode up top in the rain! I would book this tour again.
Great opportunity to see DC all day long! Only factor I would watch for is making sure that you keep your email so they know for sure which plan you picked.
Great experience! First tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and filled in with personal visits to monuments and museums that he had taken and gave valuable hints especially on where some reasonably priced food could be had and where not to buy food, like 10 hotdogs from the vendor trucks. Once we hopped off and then hopped back on, the second guide was not nearly as informative and friendly. Overall a very good experience. My granddaughters loved the bus!
It was a great way to see the city during the first day of our visit. We liked two of the three guides we had...they were informative and helpful. The third guide was OK, but lacked enthusiasm.
This tour was amazing!
We purchased the two day ticket and found it a great way to see all the sights on our short break in Washimgton DC. The buses are frequent, some have recorded commentary but most have a tour guide, all of whom were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The highlight of the two day tour is the included night tour. It leaves at 7.30pm and we got there at 7pm and there was already a long queue. There were four buses that night though and everyone was able to sit at the top to get a spectacular view of all the sights lit up. It was very well organised considering the number of people. The night tour contains a walking section near the Lincoln Memorial and you can either go with the guide or do your own thing. We went with our guide, Sam, who taught us a lot about the war memorials. We absolutely loved the night tour and whilst we had been past all the sights during the day we gained lots of new information in the evening, it wasn't a repeat of what we had already heard. So glad we booked it.
We only had Saturday for our tour and had time restrictions because we had to catch the train back to Baltimore, by 5pm. We boarded at Union Station in DC on the Red Loop and then transferred to the Blue loop to get to Arlington. We rode the open deck and it was great! We were able to see a large portion of sights that we wanted to, even within our time restrictions. The bus staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. WIN-WIN-WIN. The only part of the trip that needs attention would be the return route from Arlington. The route back from Arlington Cemetery to the bridge back to DC has many low hanging tree limbs that the city of Arlington need trim up higher and back some. We actually had to duck down as branches made contact with the bus. Fortunately, the deck was not that crowded, so it was actually fun however it could present potential injuries to riders if fully seated. Overall, A and will do it again! Thanks for a good ride!
Good, easy to ride to various sites
Loved these busses. The guides were awesome. The night tour was our favourite.
It's an open top bus, you hop on and hop off at all the interesting places, sometimes you have a tour guide, the rest of the time it's a recording. We started on the yellow and finished doing the blue all in a day, traffic was getting horrible later in the day
This tour was worth every penny! Very convenient. The tour guides were awesome!! Thanks to Desiree, Maria and Nur. They made the trips very interesting, informative and fun. Will definitely recommend this highly to others
Great tour of DC. Guides were funny and great to listen too. Hot day on the top floor but worth it. I would suggest it to anyone visiting D.C. The people were organized and professional nice job.
We even saw the president drive by the procession
The Big Bus was a great way to see how Washington D.C. is laid out. The tour guides were so knowledgeable and funny! We loved it so much, we did it in New York, too!
Great way to see the Washington sites, easy access and use, guides very informative and polite,
Friendly as staff, very knowledgeable.
I highly recommend this tour for families!!! We had an awesome time. My children really enjoyed.
The only off is always a good way to go,the night tour was breathtaking, the tour guides were great
Having only 2 short days in DC, this is a perfect way to see the main attractions, and decide where you want to visit in detail. The visit to Madame Tussauds was a bonus!!!4
The tour was amazing.
We reserved a 2-day hop on, hop off bus tour for our visit to Washington. This was to give us a good overview of D.C., plus to point out the major attractions. This worked like a dream. Nothing to do with the hop on, hop off guys, but unfortunately a heat wave arrived the same day we landed. Also, it seemed like every US school was on a field trip, so every attraction was very overcrowded. Despite the heat and crowds, the hop on, hop off guys were great - they were very knowledgeable and made all our trips very interesting. We learnt a lot and would definitely recommend this service. Washington is a very beautiful city and spotlessly clean - we loved our short stay.
Big Bus Hop-on-Hop-Off was a great choice. Even though DC has the metro to get around- there is still a lot of distance between sites. The Big Bus Tour was educational and convenient, with multiple stops- very happy with this choice!
This is the best and easiest way to see Washington DC. The guides were full of knowledge and made the excursion very enjoyable. When the weather gets warm--look for the buses with a/c. We also signed up for the Night Tour. That is a MUST SEE !!!!!!
We took the two day and one night tour and it was well worth it. Our docent on the night tour was the very best. A good way to get our bearings in Washington.
Perfect for a short stay in the city...
It was AWESOME!!! So glad I booked this bus!! It really worked out being there is a lot to see and a lot of walking. My daughter loved it too!! Everyone working with Big Bus was so kind and helpful!! Would totally do it again and recommend it : Thank you.
Excellent way to see washington go to the Zoo its free and excellent
Loved being able to tour at our leisure around the sites we wanted to see and bypass others.
The best way to get around a new-to-you city and the best way to get to know such a city are these HOHO buses. This one had plenty of routes to take you the places you would want to go and plenty of buses running the routes that you never have to wait very long to get on-course again.
The Tour Bus was a fantastic way to begin a first time visit to DC. The tour allows you to see all the great locations and exhibits. If you have the time, I highly recommend the 2-day pass which also includes a wonderful nighttime tour. You shouldn't miss that! The tour guides are really exceptional, friendly, and professional each with a sense of humor and personal insights. This is a must do!!!
It is fun, informative and a great way to get around Washington DC and everything and place they have to offer, including their night tour.
Annise in customer service was so helpful and made my bus trip happen. I enjoyed seeing the sights of the city with the option of stopping where I wanted and spending the amount of time I wanted at that location. Tickets for the Ford Theater were sold out so if you want to go there, be sure to order tickets in advance. The bus drivers, guides and staff at the drop off sites were all very professional.
The tour gave me and my wife a great introduction to the city. I loved the wide-ranging and personalized commentaries from the tour guides.
Outstanding, highly recommend. On a good day sit on top and just enjoy the audio guided tour. Very relaxing, plenty to see and a comfortable ride. Great for the kids. Stops at all the main attractions and the wax museum is a lot of fun. Stops are frequent and transfers between routes easy. Loved it!
Easy to use to get around, great service!
Doing the two day bus tour gave us enough time each day to see as much as we wanted.
The open air top was great to be outdoors while listening to the scripted tour sights.
The wax museum was fun. A bonus. Bus times were good, never had to wait long and always seating of choice.
It was great to just sit on the bus and take in the sights, very relaxing,
Loved it, would do it again, highly recommended.
We came to the one of the loop hop on points and our bus just left the point. Red loop bus driver took us, called to another bus driver and we catch-up our bus at the next station. Amazing and friendly service! Great work guys! Thank you!
Great way to get around DC. Can get crowded and occasionally had to wait for second bus. Nighttime tour was fantastic!!
You really need at least 2 days if you actually want to anywhere to do this tour it takes you just about everywhere you could possibly want to go to and dont miss out on the included in the price Madam Tussards visit.
If you want to visit the Pentigan its about 5/6 mins walk from the stop as for Arlington you are dropped right outside
Great way to see the city sights and good value
Great way to introduce kids to the Capitol. Fun, fact-filled, allows for physical activity while learninghop-off, walk, hop-on. Would highly recommend.
The night tour was amazing. Our tour guide Vern was so knowledge and entertaining. Highly recommend the night tour
Our guide was terrific! So knowledgeable and well spoken.
My son and I had an amazing day on the bus! It was SO convenient being able to jump on and off as we pleased based on our interest level at each stop. The buses were always on schedule and easy to catch. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Especially if you have a short amount of time in the city, I would definitely recommend this option for one day!
We used the bus tour as a way to see how Washington,DC is put together, where things are in reference to each other as well save our legs. It accomplished all that!
Great. Loved our driver.
there isn't anyplace th bus doesn't take you....best way to go!
This was a great way to see DC and the surrounding area. We had a choice of four tour loops since we were already staying in Georgetown, we opted for the red and blue loops, which took us to all of the must-see places including a trip past the Pentagon and over to Arlington National Cemetery. The buses come every 20 to 30 minutes and it was so easy to move from site to site at our own pace. The Big Bus is highly visible so you could see it approaching at each stop and staff were at every stop to answer questions and help us out.
Great tour, it was better than expected great views from the upper level of the tour bus. The people were very courteous and helpful.
Not too long and not too short. Just the right amount of time!
Best way to get around D. C. Would use big bus again.
The flexibility for different routes and experiencing the many different sites was incredible. The schedule even among heavy traffic was very close to right on. Would recommend to everyone visiting D.C. area.
Brilliant way to see around Washington, we booked for 48 hours and still didnt quite get to see everything. We also did night tour also. Live commentary was definitely better than the audio. Loads of bus stops to get on and off and we were fortunate there was a stop right outside our hotel.
It was a great way to see DC. The stops were well spaced. We definitely got our money's worth!
Really wonderful tour. We loved all the tour guides. The hop on hop off feature was wonderful. We never had to wait long for another bus to come by, and there was always room on the bus. I would definitely recommend this for anyone interested in touring Washington D.C.
Very nice!!! Good tours!!!
I get the tickets very fast!
knowledgeable tour guide transfers was great night tour was great some bus trouble day 2 but overall it was great
Great tour and great service provided by drivers and occasional tour guides. Very convenient hop on and hop off locations. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see the sights in DC and on a limited timeframe. Purchased the 48 hour tour and enjoyed it thoroughly. Buses run on schedule unless special event in city causes traffic backups.
Excellent trip! The Big Bus really helped us get around the city. Everything worked great.
Excellent deal - 2 days hop -on hop-off, bus stops at central locations, 4 different bus lines, you can get everywhere, additional bonuses: Free night tour, Free museum entrance, Free 1 Hr rent-a-bike and free coffee.
Bus tour was very good. drivers and guides were courteous, informative and helpful. It's a wonderful way to get to the different museums, gardens, historic statues and sites.
Wait times minimal. Easy to use and get access to points of interest.
We used the Big Bus for 3 days and really enjoy the experiences. The tour guides Vern Adams and Tom Thompson were excellent. The information shared was very informative and you can tell they have a strong passion for history and their job. I would strongly recommend using this method to see a lot of the great sights in DC.
We Loved the Tour. The Tour guides were very informative and had great personalities. It was very hot the two days of our tour but all went well.
Plenty of places to hop on and off. Every 20 minutes or so as they state. The guides were entertaining and very informative. We had a good experience. Nice of them to offer rain ponchos for when it rained... just wish I would have taken them up on it!!
Excellent tour.Very good value.guides were all very good.We were able to see all of Washington and the bus stopped very close to our hotel and it was very easy to do all the routes.
We had 48 hour ticket - was perfect.
We had a great time . The teens enjoyed it . We had 5 hours in DC and we saw all the highlights
Enjoyed the tour. Traffic was very heavy on Memorial weekend not allowing access to certain areas. We will be back on a less crowded weekend.
This is a must. The guides, through free ear buds, give you the great history of Washington
DC. There is no need to fight the traffic and find parking.
We were even furnished rain ponchos during a storm. Only way to visit a big city. Am looking for more Big Bus tours when we travel
Great for Orientation and a god send when your feet are aching and you can just jump on and off when you want. Even in the rain, poncho's were plentiful and staff good humoured. I will use this company again in other cities and on return to Washington as I couldn't fault it.
Great easy way to see it all.
We completed this on our first day to get our bearings. It was really a great tour with Mike our guide full of information and a great sense of humour
This tour really helped us get around the City.
Best way ever to get around.
A great tour with 5 separate routes and a free night tour, all tours were informative with either a recorded commentary or personal guides. The night tour was a fantastic bonus, seeing all the sights and monuments by night. You were also afforded the opportunity to get off the bus and to get a closer look at the monuments with a history given by your tour guide, this was both interesting and informative.
Great way to see the sites.
Only way to do Washington Dc
it was the greatest and amazing learning experience i've ever had. the tour guide, mr. mike c is awesome, he did a good job. i must admit that particular trip, stirred my interest to study american history. may GOD bless America and the whole world
Awesome tour. We were on the 48 hour tour with the Night tour included. The night tour is something I would do over and over again. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and interesting. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Washington DC.
Excellent way to see the main attractions in Washington.
Best way to see DC. Tour guides were funny and knowledgable, stops were perfectly convenient, really a fantastic way to explore a new city. I'll definitely do this again!
The bus tour guide was very good.
Our party of 4 enjoyed a great tour of all the major sights in Washington DC with the help of Henry, our live tour guide. With his charming commentary, even we long-term residents of the the city learned new things about it. Although we did not take advantage of the hop-on hop off feature on this tour, we will repeat the tour next year and do so. Recommended!
We loved our tour. I wish I had asked how long the tour would be because we only got off at one stop in fear of being late. Next time we go, Lord willing, we will be better prepared. Loved the tour and highly recommend it.
