Great trip with lots of interesting places to see and Bobby, our guide, did a great job of working with everyone's needs on our trip. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Really great experience, although wasted time waiting for people that we late.
As a military veteran it goes without saying visiting these memorials stirs the deepest feelings of pride of country. Our
Guide was the happiest bundle of knowledge of all our tourmasters. Some D.C. Events blocked normal passage to sites,
But our guide found alternate routes and made it seem normal. Simply great.
This was the BEST Tour to take and WELL WORTH EVERY PENNEY!!! I actually cried during the changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown! It's done every 30 minutes and EVERYONE just watch IN TOTAL SILENCE in RESPECT to honor the guards and the tomb!
Nice job with good delivery of facts and history with nice touch of humor.
My daughter and 2 grandchildren ages 10 and 12 said this tour was the best ever. I am forgetting our tour guide's name but he was amazing and so knowledgable! The grandkids loved the jokes he told also! A GREAT way to cover a lot of territory and learn lots! Highly recommend!
We had a guide named BOBBY, he was great and very knowledgeable and had lots of stories and jokes. Very
fun and we would want all to have our kind of tour.
Thank you to Bobby.
the best tour was the War Memorials and Arlington
Out tour guide was very knowledgeable, I am so glad we had him as a guide
I enjoyed the small group of seven. Bobby was a wonderful tour guide with his wit and the information he shared. I never felt rushed at any of our stops. One suggestion as I saw in a comment before I booked this tour - The description says that there is a stop at the Pentagon with lunch at Pentagon City. That did not happen, but I was okay with that. The tour description is deceptive and I believe needs to be updated.
Tour of memorials/monuments allowed adequate time to browse. Bobby, our Driver very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor.
The guide was very good and knowledgable
A wonderful tour. The tour guide Bobby knew all about each memorial and explained them well. Learned a lot about history and other facts I never knew before. Just wish we had more time at the World War II, Vietnam and Korea Memorials. The Arlington Cemetery tour was beyond words.
Loved our tour guide!
This was a monument tour as well as Arlington Cemetery, the guide even included some extra things to see along the way. Very informative and well worth it.
Tour guide was terrific! Enjoyed the tour!
Highlights: The memorials and cemetery were amazing. All of the sights are a must see. Low points: too little time at the memorials, felt rushed to get one or two pics then return to the van. Also our guide brought thr taboo topic: politics. Please clearly disclose no return trip from Arlington.
This was a fantastic tour with a great guide who provided a lot of history and information. The only downfall is the amount of time allowed for each stop. There is so much to see and not enough time. Unfortunately, we were not able to see Iwa Jima up close due to funerals at Arlington Cemetery. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour.
Had a lot of fun, very informative tour. Tunde was an awesome guide.
It is a semi self-guided tour. The tour is concluded at Arlington National Cemetery. There is a subway station nearby, not too bad.
We had a great time. Our tour guide Bobby was great. We probably could have done the tour in a shorter period of time. Our personal preference. The couple we were with wanted to see everything and we were more under the impression that if we wanted to spend an extended period of time somewhere we would come back the next day or two.
We really loved our Arlington National Cemetery tour. Tunday was our driver and history teacher, I might add. We had a lovely day together with another couple practically a private tour! We would highly recommend this tour.....just spectacular!
It was fantastic
Good tour, plenty of time to walk this sacred ground. Many unknown sites to see.
We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our tour guide, Mr. Alarape, was wonderful. He was like the internet of DC. Would do this again.
Leroy was a wonderful guide. Lots of extra information and making efforts to cater to the specific interests of our group. Our Marine had an experience he will never forget!
Our guide Bobby was very knowledgeable and made the trip to Arlington very enjoyable.
We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a historical trip through Washington DC and to the Arlington National Cemetery.
Very nice. Very emotional.
LOVED LOVED LOVED this tour! Our driver was so nice and funny, he told so many jokes and had really good information that you couldn't have gotten anywhere else.
When he dropped us off at the Cemetery he gave us our tickets so that we could get on the tram that takes you around right away.
Make sure you can manage your time wisely because there are little stops on the way down or up that you want to take your time at.
This trip was made perfect by our tour guide, Bobby. He greeted us warmly, got us settled in and used a microphone hooray in the van so all of us could hear his wonderful dialogue on the history of the area. He told us what to expect and saw to it that we were comfortable with the trolly that took us to the different spots at the cemetery. He was waiting for us when we finished and took each of us to our hotels so we didn't have to find transportation after a long day. Bobby is the best!
Our driver/tour guide, Leroy, was great very knowledgeable and accommodating. The tour bus was old, not very comfortable, poor AC.
A little hurried touring Arlington.
Bobby was our tour guide and he did an amazing job. Thanks!
Actually everything was very good, Bobby our guide was personable, pleasant, and seemed very knowledgeable. The only thing of concern is the van we were in did not have the proper number of seat belts
For our group of 5.
I had an awesome time on this trip! Our tour driver, Bobby, was awesome. He told me many things about the history of DC that I hadn't known. There were only two of us on this tour so he was able to give us plenty of attention. I just can't say enough about him. He is truly an asset to your company! I would definitely book this again as long as I knew Bobby would be my guide.
Enjoyed. Very personable, small group.
Bob was lovely and I appreciated his humor and his care. This tour is perfect for folks who want to see a lot in a little time. I found it was a bit too much to see -- especially the monuments -- and spend any quality time but I understand the reasoning...you do need a good three hours in Arlington. But trying to see The Korean war memorial, The Vietnam Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial in 30 minutes is a bit much. However, that is my only criticism. Everything else was lovely!
Great tour guide!
Super way to see the sights without miles of walking.
Bobby was amazing loved his stories and his knowledge of the history of Washington we had a wonderful tour
Was Awesome!!!! Only thing was I wish we would of been pre warned that because of Memorial Day there would be a lot that we couldn't get close enough to see.Our tour guide was exceptional he went above and beyond to get us to see as much as possible. It was a very touching and memoriable experience! !! Would definitely tell others to take this tour!!!!
the man who did this tour knew what he was talking about and he enjoyed giving the tour, he warned us about the little things that could screw it up for us and he did the little extra things that made it more enjoyable, like I said before he enjoyed giving the tour.
We were lucky we had our own private tour guide did not have any other clients, his name was Leroy and he was great. He took us to all the places we needed to go told us all the history and stories of the city. Very enjoyable day!
The group was small. Nick was excellent, informative with added unusual comments different from the run of the mill comments. He was very accommodating, skipping things we asked to skip having seen the night before on another tour, and took the time, at our request, to see the front of the White House! He was excellent. Nick even helped us 3 ladies cross the street to make sure we were safe.
Our driver/narrator was fabulous - I want to order another 7-person trip next month. Thanks so much.
The tour was terrific and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
Very moving experience!
Our tour guide Bobby was fabulous. This tour was excellent and I highly recommend it.
Joe was a great tour guide and he had a wonderful personality!
Bobby was an excellent guide and our tour was wonderful. He was extremely courteous about our pickup and drop off locations, being very flexible with time, telling us about eating opportunities, providing many interesting facts and commentary and very nice to be dropped off at hotel. He was an excellent driver and I felt very safe on tour. He was very funny and an enjoyable tour guide. Only comment is he needs to delete the Roslyn joke from his repertoire....pretty offensive to a refined, well educated person such as myself.
Tour was very good, I was able to see everything that I had come to WA DC for. Only thing not included which was stated was a bottle of water and a stop for lunch. The tour was from 10:30am to after 3pm, there were 5 of us on the tour, we were all very hungry and thirsty.
Fantastic tour Leroy our guide was brilliant. He really made the tour come alive with his knowledge and charisma. We thoroughly loved every minute of the day. Well done!!!
Tour guide was very helpful. I will take another tour with you because he was so good.
This is a wonderful tour and I highly recommend it to others.
Very moving experience. Was lucky enough to be there for the changing of the guard. On our way to and from Arlington our tour guide pointed out interesting land marks and was a wealth of information. Gaylene and Allan, Australia
Arlington was high in my list of sites I wanted to see on my one day excursion. It did not disappoint.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw enough of the other sites in the city to make me return for a longer visit. Great excursion.
Only critics would be that arrival time at Arlington should coincide better with getting train to see changing of the guard in off peak times.
This tour was amazing!
*We saw at night but it was raining the day we were suppose to go so we missed what we wanted to see - Changing of the Guards. Day time is the time to see. I highly recommend seeing it even though we missed it.
WE had a great tour. Tour guide was wonderful!!!
We were the only people on our tour, so we basically had our own personal driver/guide. His name was John (I think) and he was excellent. He was good company and very informative about the places he took us to. As well as the Arlington cemetery, he gave us a lot of info. about the Lincoln memorial, Korean Memorial and Vietnam Memorial before giving us plenty time to have a good look around. The bus was clean and comfortable and we never felt that we were under pressure to move on. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Washington DC.
Extremely moving. I would recommend to everyone
Good tour...wanted more time @ Arlington cemetery
We saw so many monuments that were widely spaced and could not have been seen in one day otherwise. John was informative and personable, and catered for those in our group who had difficulty walking too far, including a Korea War Veteran. Thanks!
Arlington is a must do for all visitors. A big shout to all the gidues on this, particularly at the Cemetary, their commentary was passionate and moving.
Very nice tour!
Great day out with a wonderful guide - very informative, disappointed that we didn't visit the pentagon memorial as we were supposed to though as this was on our itinerary to do so. Vehicle was very comfortable and air conditioned as it was a very hot and humid day.
We had to go back on our own the next day to do this instead
Fantastic tour. Many many more sites included than expected and Arlington was sensational. A must do for first time travellers to Washington.
GREAT TOUR ...WORTH THE MONEY...WALKING TOUR ...THE HOST, LEROY ....GREAT TOUR HOST GREAT KNOWLEDGE AND GREAT PERSONALITY
Our guide (Leroy) was a fantastic! He was so pleasant, accomodating and very knowledgeable. We have taken all our grandchildren to D.C. and he provided the best tour of all the War Memorials that we have ever had. Thanks, Leroy!.
Our driver and guide was terrific. He went out of his way to be sure we saw the ceremonies at Arlington and were positioned so we could see all of it from the right position. He also advised us on where to eat, where to walk, and what to see around the Lincoln Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. Very important because we had a double purple heart veteran with us from the Korean War. I would recommend this tour and this guide to anyone.
Very organized and on time
The tour was done very will. Our tour guide Lee Roy was excellent and extremely knowledgable.
There is not enough space or time to express how awesome the tour was for me and my crew if military veterans and spouses. Mr Jackson
Our tour guide was superb, professional, articulate, knowledgeable, informative, well spoken, caring, and a veteran himself, was a plus and added atribute. Thanks
The tour was excellent and the guide was knowledgeable. We had a small group (6) on this tour and the guide took the time to personalize the experience as we viewed the various sites. I would recommend this tour especially to those that want a more indepth experience and/or have or had family members that were veterans.
This tour was a very important highlight during our first visit to Washington DC. Leroy was our driver/tour guide and he could not have done more or better. He is well informed about Arlington and the other points of interest we visited and showed great concern for the tour participants' comfort, safety and overall satisfaction. What a terrific ambassador for this wonderful city! We are taking home with us some wonderful memories and give this tour a grade of A++.
Excellent. Learned a lot about each of the memorials. Very informative. Also emotionally moving to how much so many did for our country.
Excellent tour....... We ended up with a private tour. Just the seven of us.
The tour guide was very accommodating and sincere in his wish that we see and know about all the memorials. We enjoyed it thoroughly.
Great, but please wash the windows to take photos out of them. lol
We found this tour really lovely. Went and visited all the major memorials, our guide was wonderful. He interacted with our small group and certainly knew a whole lot about Washington which he was happy to share. Arlington is a lovely place. The changing of the guard is a must see, such a special moment to witness. The day we were there, the Government Shutdown was still on, so we couldn't get close to a couple of things, but that didn't matter too much. It was a great day. Our children (12 and 10 years) even enjoyed it.
Excellent tour guide
Loved it. Very accommodating to times and places with helpful suggestions along the way!
It was great! The actual shuttle in Arlington cemetery was not very organized and we could not see the changing of the guard do to not enough shuttles in a timely fashion .We would have missed our tour bus back to the hotel. Other than that which they had no control over it was good.
Outstanding tour!! The guide was very knowledgeable and my grandchildren were talking about it for days after. Thanks Viator!!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We could never have covered so much territory nor gained so much knowledge from exploring the monuments ourselves. Our tour guide, Robert was a wealth of knowledge but very personable. We also enjoyed our free time for lunch at Pentagon City mall.
Excellent!! Our tour guide was Brandon. The whole tour was memorable and enjoyable. Thanks!
The experience was excellent due to the guide. A well-rounded, knowledgeable gentleman regarding DC, history, politics and the world in general. He had excellent people skills and was very curious about the lives of the group. Well-done.
Wonderful tour guides did an outstanding job of explaining the sights and the significance of the things we were seeing
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the stops as well as other points of interest that we passed. We were allowed plenty of time at each stop. Very enjoyable experience!
This tour was very memorable. Tony from Loba tours was entertaining and knowledgeable! Time spent at each memorial was sufficient to walk around and take pictures. Very much recommended!!
Our guide was full of great stories and very knowledgable. The pace was perfect and we saw everything we were hoping to see.
Well worth your time and money. So much information and interesting history. The changing of the Guard at The Tomb of The Unknown is a must see. Go to the far right side of the memorial for the best view.
This was the best tour we have ever been on. The tour guide was so knowledgable and interesting. He knew just everything, a walking encyclopedia in fact! It was worth every penny. The entire trip was fantastic. Such a great place to visit. Every american needs too go to DC and get to know our capitol and history of America.
Robert was incredibly well prepared for such an intense day. Some very moving stories shared at some very poignant sites. Absolutely brilliant!!
This tour was made especially memorable for my 89 year old WWII veteran dad and myself by our guide, Robert Hoffman, who took the time to explain the stories behind the memorials and accommodate us along the way. We were not rushed and every question was answered.
This was the highlight of my entire trip! Rob, our guide, was incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. I was lucky to have gone on this when I did because I felt like I had VIP treatment (there were only 3 others on the tour with me). Everything was seriously perfect from start to finish. We were picked up and dropped off on time, we were taken to all of the places we hoped to see, and learned a lot of important historical facts from our guide. Arlington Cemetery was such an amazing place to visit, and all of the stops at the different memorials were a real treat. If you have time to see the cemetery while you're in DC, you will not want to miss out on this great tour with Viator. This was the best way to end my vacation.
