Our guide Christopher was very informative and funny. I would highly recommend the night tour.
We had a great time. The Monuments at night are beautiful and there were no crowds. Our tour guide Esau was very entertaining and Knowledgeable.
It was a beautiful night in DC and the bus tour was the perfect way to see these inspiring monuments and memorials. Our tour guide, Nick, was knowledgeable and funny. The evening went by fast. I recommend the experience.
What a fantastic way to end our stay in Washington. The tour was excellent and our tour guide, Ralph, gave us so much information about the sights and history of all the landmarks. Viewing all the Memorials when they are lit up is even more memorable
A highly enjoyable, visually memorable and physically energizing tour. I would recommend for any age and for any DC experienced visitor. A great way to see Washington's most visited monuments and at their most breathtaking time of day. Even though you ride in a small comfortable tour bus, you should expect to do a fair amount of slow evenly paced walking. So pace yourself accordingly. I had already walked 7 miles that day so the additional walking here was a little tough on my already sore feet and 66yr old body. Our tour guide Nick, was a great addition to a long exhausting day of touring with his interesting historical facts and knowledge along with his humorous and comical anecdotes. Thanks for a memorable trip I will always remember as one of my better memories in time.
The tour was fun and informative. Our guide was most knowledgeable, the driver kept us safe and on time and the Night Tour was special. We were going n and off the bus numerous times with up close and information about the White House, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorial, WWII, Vietnam War and Korean conflict memorials. We also heard a lot about many numerous important buildings in the US Government! Great Tour!
So glad I followed previous recommendations and took this tour...they were absolutely right.... the city is so DIFFERENT in the night light!! LOVED IT!!
John A. was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable. he shared interesting facts about the history and architecture of the buildings and monuments. He also had entertaining stories about several historical figures. The tour was well worth the price.
Chris was fabulous!!! What a great was to see Washington
Guide was friendly, helpful and well-informed.
Great tour! Lovely experience at night. Our tour guide Esau was amazing!!.
This tour couldnt have been better! From the sites, to the weather, to our amazing tour guide and driver, it was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Christopher, was quite the historian. He shared incredibly detailed accounts at every monument, and pointed out many other fascinating sites as we rode the tour bus from point A to point B. And he added such a youthful, vibrant, fun dynamic to everything, while remaining very sensitive to the painful and dark times in history that these monuments represented. Seeing the monuments illuminated at night was quite moving. I recommend this tour to anyone who visits D.C.
Our driver Patrice and especially our guide Nick were fantastic. Best thing we could have done. The monuments were so beautiful at night. Nick was so gracious as we had a handicap person with us and he took care of her and loaded her wheelchair at every stop and there were many on and offs. Super. 5 stars
We were so glad we booked Viator VIP: Best of DC tours. The US Capitol, National Archives, White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, World War II, Korean and Vietnam war memorials were just some of the stops visited. At midpoint of the tour, the lunch on the boat on the Potomac was very relaxing. Our fabulous tour guide Chris was very knowledgeable, funny and kept the group together and moving. Our bus driver Tony got us to each destination in a timely and safe manner. Chris and Tony were a great team!!!
This was the highlight of my trip. It was amazing to see all the monuments and memorials at night and we lucked out by getting the best tour guide possible --- Smokey. He was awesome and even sang to us!!
I wasn't expecting as much walking as we did, so you might want to add that to the description of the tour.
This was an awesome tour. Our tour guide Ralph was amazing and funny as well as our driver Patrice. My mother and I are from Texas and we definitely felt some southern hospitality on this trip!
We had a great time very interesting and informative the guide really knew hes history thisll make are trip to D.C.
The Tour is a great start to explore Washington DC as it takes You to all major sights and that at night, which will give You views You won' t get on a day tour or when going on Your own. We had enough time at the sight to take pictures, roam around and listen to the guide.
I was thrilled because we stopped at ALL of the DC monuments at night. The tour guide was fun, knowlegable and lots of ice cold water was provided. I would highly recommend this spectacular tour. FYI We chose to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel which was wonderful choice since we did not arrive back to our hotel until after 11pm.
Had an excellent time. Ralph our guide is a natural storyteller. Two kids, ages 10 and 13, also thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Great experience to see all of the major monuments and hear the interesting stories associated with them. Our grandson who is 16 said it was the highlight of the trip for him.
We absolutely loved the night tour, our guide Josh was so great, funny informative and kept us moving so we saw a lot!!!! I highly recommend it. My favorite was the War Memorial near the reflecting pool but it was all breathtaking.
We did this tour the first evening we arrived and were very impressed. Our tour guide was Ralph and was very good and told us many interesting facts about the sites we visited.
Both Josh and Neil were wonderful. Sights were great!
Best way to see DC. All four kids ages 17, 13, 10 and 6 loved the evening tour. We loved it because it wasn't hot and DC at night is beautiful. If you have one day in DC, do this tour.
Wonderful tour! Our tour guide, Christopher, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely take this tour again, especially if Chris was the guide!
Had a great time! Whether at the beginning or end of your trip, take this tour. John (tour guide) and Osei (driver) are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Excellent tour that I plan to take again next time in DC, and recommend others to as well.
Our guide was great - especially in getting everyone back to the bus at the right time. I do wish we could have had 5 more minutes at the WWII Memorial and at the White House. That would have made it perfect!
This tour was amazing!
Love this tour. We did it first thing upon arrival to get familiar with the area.
So good. We did it as a big group (15 people) but we met so many cool families and individuals. The places we visited were amazing by night. So much history to hold on to. Just great. And the commentary was so wonderful too. Provided water and refreshments theough out.
Despite minor rain ( ponchos provided ) it was a great tour. We did this tour as our first thing in the city and it was a great way to see the majesty and feel the weight of the monuments before seeing them in the bleached light of day and their grandiose size. Amazing guide and great info!!!
We really enjoyed seeing all of the major monuments and memorials lit up at night. They were all so awe inspiring and beautiful. It was also much cooler than in the heat of the afternoon, which made it that much more enjoyable. Our tour guide, Esau, was full of energy and kept the tour fun with his humor as well.
Our guide, Christopher, and driver, Neil, were fantastic! Rich with facts and just enough humor! Thanks for making our tour so special!
Great tour to see the main monuments at night, all lit up. The guide was very informative but also very funny and entertaining. it was a good mix of being on the bus and getting off and walking around. We highly recommend this tour!
Our superb guide for the evening was Shaneysa. She was thoroughly knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic and made the tour come alive. Her wealth of knowledge was amazing. The monuments seen at night were outstandingly gorgeous and each with their own special story and place in our history. The only downside to the evening was we were not eligible to have the bus pick us up or drop us off at our hotel. The tour was definitely worth the time and the money. I would definitely book it again.
Great experience! We did this as a team-building activity for work.
Good tour, good guide.
This was an incredible tour. Patrice, our driver, picked us up at our hotel and then we were doubly blessed by adding Smokey, our tour guide. The tour gave us goose bumps. It renewed our spirit and filled our souls. It surpassed all that we thought it would be, It's a AAA! Thank you for a beautiful memory of Washington D.C.!
Excellent tour! It was very informative and fun. Our tour guides Ralph and and Rod were great!
A wonderful tour, even though there was some rain at the end. The monuments were beautifully lit and this tour was a highlight of our Washington, DC trip. I would recommend it to everyone.
Best way to see DC on the first night in town.
I loved this tour! Our guide, John and driver Abdul were both very friendly and personable. The sights were amazing, and I would definitely recommend this company to others!
Our guide, Esau, was fantastic. He shared many interesting facts relating to each of the sites, history, and key political persons. Esau was positive, inclusive, and supportive of all the individuals on the tour and kept us moving so that we finished on time. He was great!
This was a highlight of our trip to Washington, DC and I highly recommend it to others. Seeing the monuments at dusk/evening was beautiful.
Great way to experience the monuments. You avoid the heat, the crowds, and get a unique and beautiful perspective all at the same time
Loved the tour. Paying for guided tours is the way to see everything.
Very efficient way to see the major attractions of our nation's capitol. Knowledgeable guide, careful driver, organized route all work together to see the lighted sites.
Excellent tour - more then I expected. The tour guide's knowledge was exceptionalso sorry that I took this long to write because I have forgotten her name?I recommended this tour to my friends who are travelling to Washington this week. We picked the perfect evening as well because it was during a full moon. We covered so much in three hours. Thank you!
Esau our tour guide was super fun and the monuments did not disappoint. This was definitely worth the time and worth the price!
Ralph the tour guide, and Neil the driver were the best! Ralph was very knowledgeable and his insights to the stories behind what we were seeing was rivoting! Ralph himself is a Vietnam veteran and I was proud to have him as our guide! Neil has great skill in maneuvering the crazy DC traffic!
Lots of interesting facts. The area itself was beautiful. The guides were very helpful and knowledgeable.
I would highly recommend the tour. Starting from the pickup close to our hotel, it was an enjoyable experience. Our driver, Patrice, and our tour guide, Nicci, significantly contributed to the great experience. Nicci was very knowledgeable and provided an abundance of history and details behind each monument and memorial. She was very friendly and engaging too. Visiting the various memorials - Thomas Jefferson, Lincoln, Korean war, Martin Luther King - will forever remain with our family. The bus was comfortable and air-conditioned.
I really enjoyed this tour. I have been to the city quite a few times on business and never had a chance to see very much of it on any of those occasions, but was determined to do so this time. Our guide for the tour was Andrew and the driver was Patrice. Andrew was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable, engaging - and it made the night even that much more memorable when he sang for us! It was a tour i will never forget.I highly recommend this tour and seeing the various monuments at night Capitol Hill, The White House, the Jefferson Memorial. Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial. Korean War Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, and others was an interesting way to see them.
Seeing the monuments at night was inspiring and beautiful. We would never have seen all of them in one evening if we hadn't taken the tour. Our guide, Andrew, was very knowledgable and gave just the right amount of information while still keeping it entertaining. We especially enjoyed the air conditioned, small bus since it was so hot and humid outside. The bus was very nice and clean and the driver drove safely. Highly recommended!
Christopher the guide and Neal the driver were the best. Chris was highly informative and fun. He kept everybody together. As this tour is handicap assibile if u can walk a few steps onto bus. I will take it again. Hope to c u on my next tour. Love u guys.
Christopher was FANTASTIC! He was so funny and full of amazing information. There weren and #39;t any questions he couldn and #39;t answer and he kept us corralled at all of the sites. Highly recommend this tour for the beautiful Memorials at nights.
We got to see quite a bit for the short time we were on the tour.
My daughter and I did this tour last Friday night and it was fabulous. We had Ralph who really is a true native and wonderful host for DC and all the attractions we visited. The tour includes all the major memorials that you want to see and especially at night with the lights. Ralph added so many special and personal notes of interest and especially visiting the Vietnam Memorial. I highly recommend taking this tour and preferably at the beginning of your DC visit as it gives a great overview and physical layout of the DC memorials and major sites.
A must do if you are in DC! Our guide was great and knew her stuff! we will be back
Ralph our tour guide and Abdu our driver did a most fantastic job with this night tour. Highly recommend to anyone who hasnt been to DC. Efore. Ralph was a most gifted tour guide, not providing a bunch of boring information and historical data but carefully taking us through all the landmarks and memorials with a unique secret for each and a soulful perspective for young and Old alike. Could not ask for a better tour guide. And of course the tour itself: breathtaking monuments and dramatic lighting and the bus is very comfortable. Well worth the money. I dont know how someone would get to all these monuments on their own
Our guide Nicki was absolutely amazing and this tour was the favorite of our trip. The scenery was awesome and the history provided fabulous. We couldn't stop talking about everything we learned. And honestly, we saw things that came alive under the lights that we would never have had the opportunity to see otherwise. Thumbs up!
Ralph told great stories throughout the tour and Neil was an amazing driver!
Fantastic tour, all the monuments, and highlights of D.C. with entertaining, knowledgeable, and conscientious guides! Thank you Ralph and Rod for a truly lovely evening, best way to see the sites!
Our tour guide Smokey was fantastic! Great tour. No better way to see the city.
Great tour! the night was beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable, had a great love for the city and had interesting facts of history that I had not know! He also had a great sense of humor!
Great tour. bus for driving to/from and then tour guide for at the monuments. was nice. lots of good photos. very end was a bit dark as the Vietnam and Korean war monuments are not well lit and it was 11pm. would have preferred those be up early in the tour since lighting is an issue there. everything else was good.
My teenage daughter and I had a great time. The info we were learned along the way was interesting. It was the perfect start to our Washington DC vacation.
Picked up on time, guide was knowledgeable and had plenty of information about the sites
Awesome tour. Driver Osai and guide John were excellent. Highly recommend.
Highly recommended!!!! This tour is a wonderful way to see and get inside knowledge of several of the monuments. It is a must! At night, the monuments are at their most beautiful. We completed the tour the first evening we were in DC and then were able to go back and visit the ones we wanted to get day pics of and see more in depth. I must admit that the night pictures were far more beautiful than the days pictures. I did this tour in 2009 and again last week 2017 and I was thrilled with both experiences. I would definitely take this tour again if I were to ever come back to DC. Our Guide was Terri and our driver was Neal. They were both very professional and patient with all tourists. Terri was VERY knowledgeable of the Washington DC and Neal navigated the heavy traffic areas with ease. We never felt rushed, or unsafe at any point in our tour. We paid for the hotel pickup and afterwards, Neal delivered us safely to our hotel. If you ae visiting DC, then you MUST take this tour!
This tour was amazing!
This tour was amazing! Our guide was wonderful and seeing D.C. at night exceeded all of my expectations. We saw more than a dozen monuments and paused as long as we wished at each one. Our hostess was educational, funny and charming. If I visit D.C. again I will book this tour every time I visit!
Loved this tour! Esau and Russel were great! Very quick, efficient, and fun way to see the major D.C. landmarks. Esau had tons of energy and made the tour even more fun.
It was a great way to start our First ever D.C. Trip! I would recommend it highly!
This tour was absolutely amazing and definitely something to add to your list of must see sites while in Washington DC. To see all the monuments lit up at night brought another level of pride and majesty to our country's great history. We were allowed to disembark from the bus at each stop and walk around to view the sites up close. I did feel the tour guide should have been able to provide more information and history about each site. While at each site, I saw and heard more about the monument we were presently viewing from other guides talking to their groups rather than from our own guide! She also had trouble coordinating with the driver of the bus as to where he was supposed to be to pick us all up at after viewing each site. One instance we had to walk a good distance in the opposite direction of where we were supposed to be for the pick-up. All things considered, I would definitely recommend this tour. The monuments speak for themselves even if you don't have an informative guide.
Our guide Esaw sp? was excellent. He made us feel at ease straight away, as part of his group, Team Scandal. He kept the group together, giving us heaps of information about each monument and of DC itself. As well as this he always allowed us plenty of time to stop and take photographs along the way. The views are spectacular, you arrive at the first destination just as the sun is setting and the colours of the sky as you go along are simply beautiful for photos. Highly recommended, and a must-do activity if you're visiting the capital.
Efficient, professional, helpful, engaging, and educational. We thoroughly enjoyed Ralph's animated presentations... an experience well worth the money.
We had a great time and are so glad we took this tour. The bus was comfortable, the monuments they chose to take us to were the ones we and #39;d hoped to see and then some. Ralph was friendly and knowledgeable and Russell got us from place to place safely. Would recommend this tour.
An great way for a new tourist to get a view of the city at night. Lincoln Memorial at night is amazing. Fun and informed guide and driver kept everyone interested.
This was a great tour! Amy was high energy, friendly, and VERY knowledgeable! She has been doing this for 28 years, and admits it is still fun. That says alot.
The tour was very good, we saw all the major sites and got good background from a very knowledgeable Tour Guide. Our Guide had good humor, and an excellent memory for facts, dates, and numbers. He moved in between the sites very quickly walking at a fast pace, but we had enough time at each individual site to absorb it. Overall, a great experience in DC.
My son and I really enjoyed the tour, our tour guide John was very nice, funny and knowledgeable. The monuments are wonderful at night.
Fantastic tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared all the information he had. It was a great tour with the right amount of time at each monument/memorial we stopped at. The tour guide and driver were both funny and engaging and shared both personal stories which were relevant and historical information that was appreciated. We had a group of 6 and we all enjoyed the tour.
This was a fantastic 3 hour whirlwind of the primary monuments in DC. If you only have a short time, this is a great bang for your buck! There are several advantages to the night time tour: the traffic is minimal, the musuems are closed, and the monuments are not only spectacular lit up at night, but are less crowded than the day. I will say the Vietnam War Memorial is difficult to appreciate at night and one that is much more impactful with daylight.
I can't say enough nice things about our tour guide, John. He was extremely knowledgeable about DC, its layout, history and monuments. His sense of humor was a nice touch to the tour!
weather was so cold and windy we didn't think we'd see the sights but found this last minute 3 hour bus tour and it was perfect. John, the tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. My only suggestion was maybe a better way to identify group leader since it was dark and there are several groups at the White House and we got separated once. Would love to do it all again, in warmer weather. Thanks John and driver.
Organized, very well done. Would definitely recommend.
The tour was EXCELLENT !!! The tour guide was top notch she knew everything !! I saw other tours while there and was SO GLAD I booked with Viator! If I ever do a tour in DC or anywhere again I'm going through Viator especially the DC night tour it was awesome!
Day time D.C. Is great... plenty of museums and memorials to see but the same memorials seem so different at night. Got a great night time tour
This was a comprehensive and educational night tour of the many monuments of DC. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and obviously enjoyed sharing his experiences and information. We were a group of 11 and everyone had their favorite monument but all enjoyed each stop. I cannot recommend this too highly- it was a perfect evening tour.
John makes a great tour guide! Informative, funny, kind ... and tall! He's easy to spot! What a beautiful night to look at and learn about our great national treasures!!
This was a great way to see many of the memorials and sights in DC quickly and efficiently, and conveniently at night. Neal was our driver and he was top notch. It was a smooth ride the entire tour. Duke was our tour guide, assisted by Nick who is finishing Duke's training before the busy season. Both of these guys are so passionate about the facts and interesting details of U.S. history, and were great tour guides! If you are going during winter be sure to bring your hats, gloves, scarves and such because you will be outside walking and will want to be as comfortable as possible. That being said, the amount of walking wasn't too much so it is a great tour for every age and ability. Thanks again guys for a great tour!
Hit the major monuments around the mall, white house and several other buildings. Nick the guide was funny and informative. Very nice at night even with all the blockades going up because of inauguration. Would reccommend
The Tour was a great way to see it all! Nick our guide was so informative and fun. Would recommend to anyone in the wintertime but also in the summer hot days! Took the tour during inauguration time and a lot of security was up and Nick did a great job getting our group around and in everywhere! Thank you - worth the cost!
Very informative!! There were lots of opportunities to take pictures and it seemed to cover all of DC. It is worth it!!
We are not generally tour people, but this tour was well worth it. Time was short and we were interested in a night tour. This fit the bill. We would recommend this to our friends. The night tour was more romantic than a day tour. There was some walking, but not too much. It did rain part of the time...bring an umbrella just in case.
our guide was terrific The sights were amazing and awe inspiring
Terry, the guide and Paul, the bus driver, gave us an excellent tour. It was magical to see Washington DC at night.
We had such a wonderful time on our tour. The monuments at night are so beautiful. Andrew tour guide was very informative and helped up along the way. He was very witty and quick with responses to questions. I have visited DC several times and always visit the monuments in the day but at night WOW!
Our tour guide Terry was fantastic!!! She pointed out many things in the city that were not on the tour and was extremely knowledgable about the monuments. Highly recommend her and this tour.
