This would be a 4 star tour if the guide was more patient. We heard very little of the tour because only those at the front of the tour group heard anything. By the time we got to the front he stopped talking or we couldnt hear over noise. We tried to muscle to the front but everyone was doing it!
AWESOME TRIP ! Great way to see the hot-spots, get some exercise and some fun facts. Our Guide, Chris was awesome! Very knowledgeable and pointed out some fun facts. Plenty of stops to rest, sip water and take photo's. I suggest this as your first day activity..... so you can get a background/input on all the great places to go and orient yourself to the city.... too much too do in so little time! The day trip was great for our 11 year old as well. If you are adults only, I suggest the night time tour! less human traffic!
This was a great tour of the monument and the Tidal Basin. I loved that we did not have to get in a car, drive and park to see all these sites. It would have also been a long walk to see all that we did. We saw the White House, Capital, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt, MLK, war memorials and the Tidal Basin on the tour. Our tour guide also pointed out other interesting sites we could see during our time in DC. It was great to be able to jump off the bikes, see the monuments, get on the bikes and head off to the next. Then if wanted we could go back and see them again which we did at night in the car. Our tour guide, Roby, was great. He told us facts about the different locations we visited and gave recommendations on other things to do in DC. Highly recommend this tour. The weather was perfect even though we did have to wear gloves and jackets as it was the day before the freak snow storm that hit the Northeast.
Excellent tour. Bikes were easy to handle, pace was very gentle with lots of informative stops at key points. Guide josh really knew his stuff and left us lots of freedom to shape the tour ourselves. Well worth doing at the start of the trip to decide what to visit in more detail
We had a great time with Chris, a history major at GWU . He guided us adeptly thru the traffic, and pointed out tidbits of facts and trivia regarding the monuments and historical figures. Highly recommend it, only takes 3 hours.
The tour guide was great-very patient and informative. Cute personality. When I asked my daughter which was her favorite thing we did in DC she said the BIKE TRIP! Even though it was crazy hot, we loved it!
