Shark Fishing

Why We Love This

  • Small sharks that are benign yet fun to catch
  • Catch Bonnet Heads, Sharp Nose, and Sandbar sharks

A variety of small sharks live and feed in the deeper holes around the marsh. Especially during the summer months, the sharks can be caught (and released) with predictability. If you want to enjoy a day on the water with the adventure of catching small sharks, this is for you.

What You'll Do

Sharks are made for two things: speed and feeding. Their poor eye site has created within them a keen sense of smell. As a result, they are easily chummed. And their sleek design makes them fantastic fighting fish. The sharks we catch on this trip are relatively small – ranging for bonnet heads that are as small as 24” to spinner sharks that might be 3-4 feet. The 2.5 hour trip leaves from the Isle of Palms Marina. We provide all tackle and bait. We will cruise near shore and anchor on holes that regularly hold good numbers of sharks. Sharks are primarily bottom feeders so we fish deep and tend to catch a variety of species (including rays).
